Paulette Lopes is a founding partner of FBL Advogados, having her work focused particularly on Corporate and Comercial Law.

She has particular intervention in matters related to private investment in Angola, advising major economic groups in foreign investment projects.

She also has vast experience in the incorporation of companies, as well as in the privatization of companies under Angolan law.

She is a lecturer at the School of Law of Universidade Agostinho Neto and currently regent of Civil Procedural Law III.

She regularly publishes scientific articles in the area of corporate law, and is co-author of "Insolvency Law" and "Notes for updating the Bankruptcy Legal Regime in Angola" published in the Special Commemorative Number of the XXXV Anniversary of the FDUAN.

She began her career in the Ministry of Information, having been transferred to the Ministry of Justice during the First Republic. In 1976 she joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a diplomat.

Advising on the incorporation of several companies in the mining sector, with foreign and domestic investment, with a total value of USD 150 million;

Advising on the privatisation of an Angolan company for the roasting and sale of coffee, with foreign investment, with a total value of about USD 20 million;

Advising on the incorporation of an international company for dam construction, with a total value of USD 10 million;

Advising on the incorporation of a catering company for the aviation industry, with a total value of circa USD 20 million;

Advising an energy company in negotiations with the Angolan government for approximately USD 7 million;

Advising on the incorporation of several international companies in the beverages industry, with investment projects worth around USD 250 million;

Advising on the setting up of a Social Support Fund, with a total value of about USD 20 million;

Advising the Angolan Ministry of Finance on the first launch of Eurobonds, with a total value of USD 1.5 billion.
